Reuse Working Group

The Reuse Working Group is an action-oriented convening of practitioners, organizations, and advocates committed to activating the local reuse ecosystem for the built environment. The group meets monthly to connect stakeholders, surface barriers and opportunities, and drive tangible progress through focused collaboration. Periodic education, site visits, and learning sessions may occur roughly quarterly, but active participation and progress-sharing are the primary modes of engagement.

Goals:

  • Map and the ecosystem — Identify and catalog local reuse and circularity entities, organizations, and individuals working in the built environment

  • Connect the network — Build relationships across the ecosystem so organizations and individuals are aware of and working with one another

  • Share insights & resources — Highlight case studies, lessons learned, and practical strategies from real-world building material reuse activations across the region

  • Identify barriers & opportunities — Collectively surface what's blocking reuse adoption and where momentum already exists

  • Activate through task forces — Form smaller, focused groups to tackle specific barriers or amplify specific opportunities with real accountability

  • Drive accountability — Center monthly meetings around progress reports and forward movement

  • Advance circularity locally — Contribute to a more circular built environment by turning insight into action
